The two-day international conference NEBE organized concludes

The National Electoral Board of Ethiopia (NEBE) has announced that it will hire 5,500 referendum officials for a period of not more than one month for Sidama's state-sponsored referendum on November 2019. However, due to the small number of applicants, the board has readvertised the vacancy.

Applicants should fulfill the following criteria;
The National Electoral Board of Ethiopia (NEBE) would like to facilitate a forum for public comment on Sidama's statehood request. Interested applicants and political parties active in Sidama zone are invited to submit their CV along with non- returnable credentials until 24 November, 2019 at the Board’s office in front of Flamingo Restaurant or its branch office in Hawassa.
The National Electoral Board of Ethiopia (NEBE) wants to recruit 6,000 volunteer referendum officials for one month duration for Sidama's state-sponsored referendum in November 2012.
Interested applicants who meet the above requirements are invited to submit their CV along with non-returnable copies of credentials starting from October 05, 2019 during working hours at the Board's Training Center found in Nifas Silk in front of Buna Board.፡

The National Electoral Board of Ethiopia (NEBE) hereby announces that news circulated by Ethiopian Broadcasting Corporation (EBC) that stated “A meeting the election board will have with political parties on 8th October is postponed indefinitely” is erroneous.
It is to be recalled that the National Electoral Board of Ethiopia (NEBE) has announced Election Constituency Official job vacancies for the 9 regions and 2 city administrations.
It is to be recalled that the campaign period was scheduled for Oct 04 - 09, 2019 according to the Sidama Regional State Referendum Program. However, the campaign is postponed to Oct 29- Nov 02, 2019, as it was believed that the referendum campaign would be closer to the time of voter registration. The National Electoral Board of Ethiopia (NEBE) gave corrective remarks to the erroneous statements made by the EZMA party leader. The Board would like to remind that it will keep an open eye to misinformation in the future.

Introduction
The National Elections Board of Ethiopia (NEBE) is constitutionally mandated body to conduct elections and administer political parties. NEBE is currently undergoing through institutional reform. The principal reason for undergoing institutional reform is to enhance the credibility and capacity of the institution and conduct a free, impartial and credible election.
