The forum was chaired by the Chairwoman of the Board, Birtukan Mideksa. Elections are a multi-stakeholder platform and some of the stakeholders are political parties, and it is necessary to set up a series of forums to make them aware of their mistakes and successes and to correct mistakes as well, the chairperson indicated.
As of the announcement from the National Electoral Board of Ethiopia in recent days that voter registration in Addis Ababa has been extended until May 7, 2021, the Board has opened additional 32 polling stations in areas with more than 1500 voters. Following the Board's call for media coverage of the first round, 28 media outlets submitted applications, out of which 21 media outlets and more than 800 journalists working in these media have received media coverage accreditation. The Board recommended that those who have not received a special report permit due to the expiration date or lack of additional information should submit their application by next week.
National Electoral Board of Ethiopia held a discussion on the use and allocation during the election on March 24 and 25, 2021.The first day was a discussion with media executives. The forum was opened by the Deputy Chairman of the Board, Woubshet Ayele. In his speech, Woubshet explained the purpose of the forum to the participants and urged the media to treat the parties fairly in the use of airtime.
National Electoral Board of Ethiopia, on March 23, 2021, gave a tour to the media regarding the voter registration materials preparation. The purpose of the visit was to promote the overall operation taking place at the Board's temporary warehouse at Bole International Airport Cargo, Addis Ababa. The presentation was started by the head of the communication department of the board. She explained the overall readiness of the Board for voter registration, including logistics and logistics distribution planning.

It is to be recalled that the National Electoral Board of Ethiopia (NEBE) provided trainers for voter registration for two consecutive days, March 5 and 6, 2021. The training of trainers was part of the planned training for constituency officials, zonal coordinators, polling station staff as well as field trainers. The training was given to the field trainers on March 13 and 14, 2021.
