NEBE Chairperson Melatwork Hailu, in her opening remarks, said the Board has been preparing the free-airtime allocation for weeks in collaboration with the Ethiopian Media Authority.

The National Election Board of Ethiopia (NEBE) consulted with political parties on security issues in constituencies for the 7th general election on March 11, 2026. All five board members, including Chairperson Melatwork Hailu, attended the consultation. During the meeting, the parties provided additional clarification on constituency security concerns they had identified and submitted to the Board in advance.

The National Election Board of Ethiopia (NEBE) organized an event at the end of the past week where political parties participating in the 7th General Election signed the Election Code of Conduct.
