The National Election Board of Ethiopia (NEBE), on October 27, 2025, remembered that it had announced the launch of the registration of constituency level election officers for the 7th general election. Following that, the Board began the recruitment of competent applicants for the mentioned positions, which will include oral and written exams to ensure the impartiality and competency of the applicants for these high level responsibilities. The recruitment is taking place in Regional States and Two City Administrations.

He stressed that the education must be available in all languages to reach everyone, with a particular focus on women and persons with disabilities.

The mock debate has been holding following the NEBE presented the draft election timetable for political parties a day before. The debate which amid in enhancing the skills of political parties in debating various policies and programs, was moderated by Media and Communications Professional named Getachew Dinku (PhD) and Blen Fitsum.

The draft timetable encompasses all major pre-election activities until the final result is announced.

The National Election Board of Ethiopia (NEBE) is carrying out a series of pre-election activities that will enable the Board to conduct an inclusive, credible, and transparent 7th general election. The development of a technologically based voter and candidate registration system is listed among the top pre-election activities. While undertaking this and other activities, the NEBE has consulted Civil Society Organizations (CSOs) and other relevant stakeholders.

The National Election Board of Ethiopia (NEBE) has been awarded the Electoral Ergonomic Award for Outstanding Achievement at the 21st Annual International Electoral Awards and Symposium, held in Gaborone, Botswana, on October 2–3, 2025. The prestigious event was co-hosted by the Independent Electoral Commission of Botswana and the International Centre for Parliamentary Studies (ICPS).
