ORGANIZATIONAL OVERVIEW
The National Election Board of Ethiopia (NEBE), re-established by proclamation No. 1133/2011, is the constitutionally mandated body to conduct elections, organize referendum and regulate political parties in Ethiopia. NEBE is working to boost its’ institutional strength with a special focus on enhancement of human resource capacity. Accordingly, NEBE would like to invite applicants for CVE CSO Management Expert position who meet the following requirements.

Job Summary
CVE CSO Management Expert is responsible for fostering strategic partnerships and collaborations with Civil Society Organizations (CSOs) to enhance the organization's outreach and impact. This role involves identifying potential partners, building relationships, coordinating joint initiatives, and ensuring effective communication between the organization and CSOs. The CSO Management Expert plays a vital role in promoting collaborative efforts and strengthening engagement with external stakeholders.
Duties and responsibilities
- Identify, assess, and engage potential Civil Society Organizations for strategic collaboration.
- Initiate and maintain relationships with CSOs, understanding their objectives and aligning them with the organization's goals.
- Coordinate joint projects, campaigns, and initiatives with CSOs, ensuring alignment with organizational priorities.
- Facilitate workshops, seminars, and training sessions in collaboration with CSOs for mutual knowledge exchange.
- Provide support and guidance to CSOs to enhance their capacities, organizational effectiveness, and project management skills.
- Develop training programs and resources tailored to the needs of partner CSOs.
- Collaborate with CSOs to mobilize resources, including funding, expertise, and volunteers, for joint projects and initiatives.
- Assist CSOs in grant applications, fundraising efforts, and proposal development.
- Collaborate with CSOs on advocacy campaigns and awareness-raising activities related to shared objectives.
- Coordinate joint advocacy efforts to influence policies and promote social change.
- Monitor and evaluate collaborative projects, tracking progress, outcomes, and impact.
- Prepare reports and assessments on the effectiveness of partnership initiatives and identify areas for improvement.
- Liaise with internal departments to ensure seamless communication and collaboration with CSO partners.
- Cultivate positive relationships with key stakeholders within partner CSOs and represent the organization in external forums.
- Uphold ethical principles, transparency, and fairness in all interactions with CSOs and external partners.
- Ensure compliance with legal and ethical guidelines in collaborative initiatives
Specification:
Education and Work Experience:
- BA/MA Degree in Adult Education, Civics Education, Political Science and International Relations, Law, Public Administration, Pedagogical Studies, Communications and Journalism and related fields.
- 5 years for Masters or 7 years for BA
Knowledge:
- Strong understanding of nonprofit sector dynamics, advocacy strategies, and community development principles.
- Excellent networking, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
- Project management expertise, including monitoring, evaluation, and reporting.
- Ethical mindset with a commitment to transparency, integrity, and social impact.
- Not a member of a political party.
