The National Electoral Board of Ethiopia has conducted trainings on voter registration

It is to be recalled that the National Electoral Board of Ethiopia (NEBE) provided trainers for voter registration for two consecutive days, March 5 and 6, 2021. The training of trainers was part of the planned training for constituency officials, zonal coordinators, polling station staff as well as field trainers. The training was given to the field trainers on March 13 and 14, 2021.

Electoral law frameworks, organization of polling stations , voter registration concepts and standards, measures to prevent COVID-19, gender and disability inclusion, timing and hours, ethics of polling station officers, election management and role, osition responsibilities of each polling station, responsibilities and roles of election observers and the media and , voter registration kit, voter information posters, procedures for pre-voter registration, procedures for the establishment of polling station complaints hearing committee, presentation of report, digital conversion of voter registration , voter registration security laws, election grievance redressal, logistics, operation and administrative issues are included in the training.

Additionally, on March 20 and 21, 2021, trainings for polling station officials participating in voter registration in Addis Ababa, Harar, and Dire Dawa took place and will continue this week as well.
