National Electoral Board of Ethiopia delivers training of trainers
The National Electoral Board of Ethiopia (NEBE) has completed today February 4, 2021 its two-day training of trainers. Fikre Gebrehiwot, member of the Board, opened the training as part of the planned training for constituency officials, polling station staff, and IT professionals at various levels. In his speech, he emphasized the importance of the training and the precautions to be taken in the light of Covid 19.
Among the agendas included in the training are: electoral legal frameworks, duties and responsibilities of constituency offices, measures to prevent Covid-19, complaints and the means to resolve them, electoral logistics and security situations, inclusion of gender and persons with disability, software application during candidates’ registration process, and expected technical difficulties that might be encountered in the process. In its next phase, this training will then be given to lead trainers. Then, the lead trainers will train officials.
