NEBE Accredits 45 Local Election Observer CSOs

The National Election Board of Ethiopia (NEBE), in accordance with the authority vested in it by the proclamations, “The Ethiopian Electoral, Political Parties Registration and Election’s Code of Conduct Proclamation 1162/2019, Articles 114 and 117” and “National Electoral Board of Ethiopia Establishment Proclamation 1133/2019, Article 7(7) and Article 8(1)”, and the directive “Local Election Observers’ Accreditation, Working Procedure and Code of Conduct Directive No. 5/2020,” which comply with the mentioned proclamations, has accredited 45 local election observer Civil Society Organizations (CSOs) that will participate in the 7th general election.

Previously, with the aim of transforming the paper-based registration and documentation system into a digital one, the NEBE demonstrated the online registration and data management system for observer CSOs from November 4th to 5th, 2025.
