Sidama Referendum
This is a referendum that took place on November 20, 2019 regarding statehood of Sidama following a formal letter written to National Election Board of Ethiopia by Southern Nation, Nationality and People’s Region’s Representative. In the referendum, the option to establish Sidama as a region garnered 98.9% of the total votes.
