The National Election Board of Ethiopia (NEBE), pertinent to the power it is granted according to the Ethiopian Electoral, Political Parties Registration, and Election’s Code of Conduct Proclamation 1162/2019 Article no. 100, sub-article no. 2, has approved and has been implementing the financial support for political parties in the 2020/21 fiscal year through the special bank account that the parties have opened for this purpose. Based on this, it has been declared that, apropos directive no. 10, the parties must submit an audit report showing that they have utilized the financial support only for the targeted use respecting the financial law.

However, in the 2020/21 fiscal year though parties need to submit the audit report and a cash receipt based on the stated law, the following parties have failed to present a complete audit report.

A) Parties that have submitted their cash receipt invoices but not the audit report

1. Oromo Federalist Congress (OFC)

2. Ethiopian People's Revolutionary Party (EPRP)

3. Raya Rayuma Democratic Party (RRDP)

4. Gambela Peoples' Liberation Movement (GPLM)

5. Afar People's Party (APP)

6. Afar Liberation Front Party (ALF)

7. Renaissance Party

B) Parties that have submitted neither their audit report nor their cash receipt invoices

1. National Movement of Amhara (NAMA)

2. Oromo Liberation Movement (OLM)

3. Hibir Ethiopia Democratic Party (Hibir Ethiopia)

4. Western Somali Democratic Party (WSDP)

5. Gedio People's Democratic Organization (GPDO)

6. Afar Revolutionary Democratic Unity Front (ARDUF)

7. Union of Tigrians for Democracy and Sovereignty (ARENA)

8. Harari Democratic Organization (HDO)

9. Mocha Democratic Party (MDP)

10. Kafa Green Party (KGP)

11. Gamo Democratic Party (GDP)

12. National Movement of Wolaita (WNM)

C) The party that has submitted its audit report but not the cash receipt invoice

Since the 2021/22 fiscal year ends in two months, and in order to release the allotted budget for the fiscal year, the Board reminds the parties to submit the audit report and the cash receipt invoice the soonest time possible.
