The number of candidates that a voter can vote for a regional or city council seat varies from one constituency to another constituency. There is only one candidate in some constituencies, three or nine or 14 or even a different number can be found in other constituencies.
The number is determined by the number of seats the constituency has in the Regional Council. Therefore, the number of candidates that a voter can vote on the ballot paper of the Regional Council is written on top of the ballot paper of the Regional Council.
However, only one candidate will be elected at all polling stations nationwide on the ballot paper of the House of People’s Representatives. Therefore, ballot papers marked more than once will be invalid.
Therefore, when you cast your vote on the purple ballot paper dedicated to the house of representatives, please vote for only one candidate. When you cast your vote on the turquoise ballot paper dedicated to the Regional Councils, the number of candidates that you can vote for depends on the number indicated on the paper and also based on what the polling station worker informs you to. So, don’t mark more than the authorized number.
