The National Electoral Board of Ethiopia (NEBE) hereby announces that news circulated by Ethiopian Broadcasting Corporation (EBC) that stated “A meeting the election board will have with political parties on 8th October is postponed indefinitely” is erroneous.

The board did not have a meeting or negotiation with political parties on the said day. The election board advises EBC and other media that propagated the news sourcing EBC should have carried out checks before circulating the news. The board, in this occasion, would like to disclose that it is available to answer any query.
