The National Electoral Board of Ethiopia (NEBE) has announced that it will hire 5,500 referendum officials for a period of not more than one month for Sidama's state-sponsored referendum on November 2019. However, due to the small number of applicants, the board has readvertised the vacancy.

Application Period- Until the required number of applications are received.
Applicants should fulfill the following criteria;
- Not a member of any political party
- Has a bachelor's degree in any field of study
- Aged between 20-45
- Able to work in rural kebeles
- Does not require work experience. But priority is given to applicants involved in election administration or various social services.
The Board shall pay daily allowances and provide training during their term of office, as well as issue certificates of participation and accreditation to those who voluntarily will participate in the referendum.
