Voting Equipment Arrive At NEBE Warehouse

It is to be recalled that the National Electoral Board of Ethiopia (NEBE) has completed the procurement of materials for the upcoming general elections scheduled for August 23, 2012. Accordingly, voter registration materials had arrived at NEBE warehouse previously and now, additional vote casting materials for polling day are arriving at the warehouse.

1. Materials purchased for polling day are 213,622 open ballot boxes
2. 156,600 secret ballot stands;
3. 58,400 equipment election executives will use on polling day, and
4. 798,300special election materials sealing plastic and enveloping stickers

In the first consignment, ballot boxes bearing unique identification numbers were delivered. The remaining polling day materials will arrive at the warehouse in the next round shipment.
